Inversions workshop and Rocket Fuel Matcha ceremony
Fire up the jets & get your float on…
What really makes the vinyasa flow is more about how you link the postures together than the postures themselves: the space between. How you get from one to the other without breaking the meditation and the connection to the breath. Transitions into and out of the asanas are the “glue” of the practice. This workshop will focus on establishing true lightness in your vinyasa. The mechanics of flight: The tools you need and how to use them. Finding your way up, over, through, back and into without bumps and breaks- towards the ultimate goal of effortless meditation.
Putting the jump in your rump. Expect simple to more advanced arm balances, inversions, transitions, tips and techniques for everyone- from frequent flyers to those who are yet to lift off. Using the traditional tools of Ashtanga Vinyasa- Breath, Bandhas and Intention- to get you up there.
The workshop will begin with a matcha tea tasting ceremony.. Peter Bender from Keiko will be providing a varied selection of matcha green teas to taste- the super powered antioxidant beverage that Buddhist monks use to focus the mind for meditation… and Rocket yogis use to power up the prana jets. Mula Rocket Fuel. The differences in the leaves and taste can be as complex as fine wines- only with the matcha you fly up instead of falling over after (mostly).
